Fanatics is also dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we all live, work, and play through strategic philanthropic initiatives.Under general supervision of the Purchasing Manager, this position is responsible for timely acquisition of production supplies, raw materials and purchased finished goods for the organization.

In this capacity, is required to order by Material Requirement Planning (MRP), reorder point concept and requisition to support daily production needs while maximizing inventory turns.  Also responsible for keeping and maintaining records for designated items and vendors to ensure accurate pricing and specifications, and adequate inventory on hand and/or in the pipeline to meet demand.Essential Job Functions•Contacts vendors to place orders, obtain price quotes, and follow up on order status.  •Negotiates price, terms and discounts within the approval authorities per WinCraft profit and plan expectations.•Monitors Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Reorder Point reports, or Vendor Drop Ship reports to determine demand.

Uses proper quantity and cost versus price-break philosophy when ordering.  Uses historical and forecast information as a gauge, and verifies against present activity for optimal order quantities.•Composes purchase orders, emails, usage reports, and other purchasing correspondence. Updates all purchased products/materials specifications and product information in item records. Verifies that all necessary details are on the purchase orders and that all specifications are communicated to the suppliers.•Monitors and analyzes inventory levels and demand needs using a wide variety of reports and systems.

Reacts to large or special purchases required according to direction of Purchasing Manager and Supply Chain Director.•Maintains open and closed purchase order info and other supporting files per set guidelines, including vendor records and costs.•Reviews Invoice discrepancies for timely reconciliation, e.g. work with Receiving and vendors to resolve quantity discrepancies.•Contacts assigned vendors to correct problems related to product quality, damage, shortages, invoice discrepancies, etc. to ensure WinCraft receives credits where required, and preventive measures are implemented where applicable•Acts as a liaison between the vendor and the production floor whenever necessary.

Works to meet the production floor needs through collaboration and negotiation with the supplier.•Assists Engineering staff in product development or change review for appropriate materials, with a focus on continuous improvement•Works with Purchasing Manager on strategic project analysis using query systems and excel worksheets.•Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities RequiredEducation•Requires 2 year post high school education, or its equivalent or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.Knowledge•Proficient in keyboarding skills, ten-key calculator operation, Microsoft Windows programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.•Experience working with business technologies preferredSkills •Must interrelate with vendors as well as internal customers effectively and courteously•Self-motivated, with the ability to complete tasks and duties with limited supervisionAbilities •Ability to learn quickly detailed knowledge of vendors, products, lead times, pricing, terms, just in time inventory management, MRP, basic principles and purchasing procedures.•Must be able to multi-task as needed, and work on the right task at the right time as determined by the demands of operations and direction of the Purchasing Manager in a fast-paced environment.•Ability to pay close attention to detail.Ensure your Fanatics job offer is legitimate and don’t fall victim to fraud.  Fanatics never seeks payment from job applicants. Feel free to ask your recruiter for a phone call or other type of communication for interview, and ensure your communication is coming from a Fanatics or Fanatics Brand email address.  For added security, where possible, apply through our company website at www.fanaticsinc.com/careersTryouts are open at Fanatics!
