Environmental Health, Safety and Security Manager
Scentbird’s first EHS&S Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the environmental, health, safety, and security performance of our warehouse facility.EHS&S Managers examine facility activities to establish where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation. There will also be considerable focus on product safety and quality. EHS&S Manager will review the whole operation, carrying out environmental, health and safety audits and assessments, identifying and resolving problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented.
EHS&S Managers will perform important staff training and ensure all members of the workforce recognize and understand their own contributions to improved environmental, health, safety, and security performance. The EHS&S Manager will also act as the Facility Security Officer. They are responsible for creating a secure environment for employees, contractors, vendors, and company visitors.ONSITE Position: Monroe Township, NJ
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Prepare all company Environmental, health safety and security policies and procedures
- Develop and implement Safety training including OSHA/EPA and other Mandatory local, state and federal topics
- Maintain training records for all site employees
- Implement and maintain site SDS catalogue and retrieval system
- Maintain site compliance to all local, state and federal safety, environmental and health regulations
- Conducts routine site review with leadership team to define site-specific EHS goals and monitor progress.
- Facilitates/Leads joint employee-management EHS committees.
- Develops and leads site specific EHS improvement initiatives such as waste reduction, injury avoidance and improved employee involvement.
- Investigation and reporting of incidents
- Provides prompt and complete communications with Leadership regarding incidents and spills as required by corporate requirements.
- Prepare, implement and perform internal audits
- Conducts and accurately documents routine EHS (including security) audits and inspections.
- Leads external 3rd party audits for EHS and Social accountability
- Develop, implement and manage appropriate emergency response programs including ensuring proper training was conducted and drills completed.
- Manages the collection, storage, transportation and shipping of hazardous waste.
- Drive and implement a total Safety Culture using behavior based methodologies.
- Prepare security monitoring system and guidelines to prevent and investigate theft
- Manage waste and refuge to comply with local regulations while improving our global footprint and preventing theft
- Monitor security cameras for workplace safety and security
- Assist in employee check-in and inspection at entry or exit
- Prepare medical response plan and assist in any first responder incidents
- Assist management in any other site specific tasks, investigations or processes

What You’ll Need to Have (required qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering)
- Certified Safety Professional or other EHS related certifications a plus
- 3-5 years' experience managing or supervising EHS in a manufacturing environment with evidence of continual improvement success
- Experience as first responder a plus
