For candidates based in Brazil and/or Latin America, this position will be a long-term contract position will regular work hours Monday to Friday.
About the Role:
Voldex is looking for an experienced 3D modeler to help us create awe-inspiring vehicles for the #1 Driving Simulator on Roblox, Driving Empire. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the top titles on the Roblox platform with a passionate team.
What You'll Do:
Realistic car modeling from concept art (both exterior & interior)
Fixing issues in modeling in received cars
Importing models into the Engine when needed - Roblox Importation
Participate in multi-discipline team meetings/rituals
Provide feedback/direction to junior, part-time or outsourced team members on their vehicle models
Review and provide feedback on draw-overs
Implementation of car models into Roblox studio
Vehicle quality assurance: checking car meshes for errors & resolving
What You Bring to the Team:
Proven experience building mobile-ready 3D models for video games
Attention to detail on car models, “making it look right”
Enough UV mapping experience to make dash screens
Solid understanding of car functionality & design
A portfolio of realistic vehicle models
Bonus Points for:
Roblox Studio Experience
Usage of interface: importing meshes, explorer & properties menus
Understanding of objects in studio: attachments, surface objects, etc
