About the role


We’re hiring a Director of Product Design to help shape the future of Dashlane. Dashlane's mission is to make security simple for millions of organizations and their people. We empower businesses of every size to protect company and employee data while helping everyone easily log in to the accounts they need—anytime, anywhere. Over 17 million users and 20,000 businesses in 180 countries use Dashlane for a faster, simpler, and more secure internet.

Location:


You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the company day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, a department day for team bonding (will be Thursday for your department), and a third day at your choice. We offer relocation support (national and international).

We bring ideas to life, serve as the voice of our users, and craft a meaningful and unified Dashlane experience. Our Design team is a close-knit, collaborative group that brings together creative individuals with a variety of backgrounds, roles, and responsibilities. Combining research, data, and thoughtful critique, we’re discovering needs and solving fundamental problems that impact our customers to create Dashlane’s market-defining products for our security platform. At Dashlane you will:As a Design Director at Dashlane, you will oversee design on the Growth and Activation domains.

You will manage your team’s career development and uphold Dashlane’s high bar for quality. You and your team will design modular, end-to-end onboarding and growth experiences. You will drive our core product’s design and empower small- and medium-sized businesses and the people behind them.You will report directly to the Head of UX, and partner with your cross-functional peers to inform the roadmap and drive increased cohesion of the respective pieces. You will lead a team and provide guidance on their output, facilitating cross-functional partnerships and the design process. You will promote an outstanding design practice, influence product strategy, and ensure product execution. As a Design Director, you will provide mentorship and champion the craft and career development of your team to support the Product Designers to accomplish their best work. 

Requirements: 


  • 8+ years of relevant design experience, 5+ years in people management

What the ideal candidate will have but is not visible on a resume: 


  • Experience with SaaS B2B Product-led growth (PLG) or onboarding experience, new user experience optimization
  • Experience managing product designers and the ability to build, mentor and motivate teams
  • A diverse portfolio of work personally shipped and shipped, along with examples of work directed and delivered by your team
  • Experience synthesizing company-level goals to help teams across multiple products to create remarkable design experiences
  • Influence the overarching strategy for Growth and Activation in collaboration with engineering and product management leadership
  • Participate in design discipline-wide conversations and create deliverables on how to improve process, operations and tools.
