Position Summary:
Wonderschool is harnessing the power of technology to provide comprehensive support to childcare providers operating out of their homes as well as in the government and non-profit sectors. Our products enable childcare providers to create high-quality environments and meet the demands of their business while also helping parents in need of childcare solutions through the creation of an accessible marketplace.Wonderschool is seeking a People Business Partner who is passionate about contributing to our mission and purpose by helping build a community at-work culture through employee engagement, programming, and strong partnerships and relationships with employees and managers alike.
This role will balance supporting company strategy, delivery of business outcomes, and a positive and inclusive employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Be a leader throughout Wonderschool and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement, capability, and leadership skills
- Advise and coach on matters related to talent management, including HR requirements, workforce planning, performance management, DEIB, retention, succession planning, and change management.
- Provide data-driven recommendations and proactively establish processes to enhance the employee experience and implement innovative and impactful solutions
- Build a high-performance culture through effective performance management and provide guidance to the end-to-end performance process
- Ensure policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with legal requirements, staying updated on employment laws and providing counsel to managers
- Build credibility and trust among employees and managers, addressing concerns with empathy, documentation, and follow-through and with the utmost confidentiality in a timely manner
- Be a champion of change and guide your teams through organizational changes such as process improvements, redesign, or technology implementations, ensuring they are executed and sustained successfully
- Provide back-up support to the People Generalist
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience with an organization that is fast-paced and customer-driven.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience coaching and being a thought partner with leaders at various levels (managers - executives).
- Experience interpreting data, diagnosing issues, and making business recommendations.
- 5+ years of in-depth experience in one or more HR subject areas (programming, compensation, employee relations, benefits, employee engagement, employment law, training and development, etc).
- Bay Area Based

- HR experience with a SaaS organization
- Experience working in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
- HRIS Administrator

Wonderschool provides the wage ranges it reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for all remote roles and as otherwise required by applicable law. The expected range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary within the listed range based on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, and specific geographic location.
