About the role:
The Skydio Studio Team is looking for an enthusiastic video production specialist to help maximize production and post-production efficiency. You will work on a diverse set of solo assignments and collaborative team projects, engaging with unique content that can only be captured with a Skydio drone. This is a contract position requiring up to 40 hours each week. You will primarily work on productions local to the California Bay Area, and occasional productions requiring travel.
What success looks like for this role:
- Accelerate and optimize the efficiency of Skydio's post-production process.
- Streamline video production and editing process for shorter timelines.
- Drive and facilitate the creation of high-quality marketing content.
How you'll make an impact:
- Compiling selects and crafting assembly edits for a broad spectrum of video projects.
- Developing and managing selects reels focused on specific industry or product content.
- Pulling photo selects from photo shoots.
- Sourcing music for video integration.
- Editing marketing videos including cutdowns and other associated deliverables.
- Assisting in the organization and management of Skydio’s content storage and media asset library.
What makes you a good fit:
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
- 2+ years of professional photography and/or videography experience.
- In-depth understanding of recording and editing audio for video (professional experience doing so is preferred).
- High proficiency with Adobe Premiere.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects (proficiency preferred).
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and eagerness to improve both technically and creatively.
- Ability to be on-site in the California Bay Area for up to 40 hours each week.
