About the Position
Reports to: Director, Corporate AccountingLocation: Atlanta, GA (hybrid – 1 to 2 days in office per week)Cardlytics is seeking an Manager, Corporate Accounting to join our Accounting team. You will be part of a fast-paced organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with the CFO, Controller and wider Accounting and Finance team on the direction of the accounting functions of the organization.Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of senior accountants and accounts in completing all month-end close related journal entries and related reconciliations.
- Manage the month-end close timeline and coordinate with accounting and finance leadership on the status and results of all relevant milestones.
- Lead the month-end expense review to accounting and finance leadership on all significant drivers in expenses month over month.
- Partner with external parties including our People team, Engineering team and Legal Team to better understand all relevant expenses, identify items to accrue and analyze expense trends
- Assist the Director, Corporate Accounting in the evaluation and documentation of technical accounting issues.
- Assist the AP Manager in maintaining relationships with Vendors, ensuring expenses are recorded appropriately and that we are paying vendors on the agreed upon timeline.
- Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reporting analyses for management.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors on all expense related queries
- Assist with the oversight of Sarbanes-Oxley controls for our expense related processes.
- Liaison with accounting system vendors and consultants as necessary
- Support special projects as necessary and the wider finance organization.
- Lead and develop high-performing team members by goal setting, establishing clear roles and responsibilities, and executing development plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Prior experience managing a team required.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- Combination of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred
- Prior experience with technical accounting topics is a plus, but not required (e.g., ASC 718 Stock Compensation, ASC 350 Intangibles – Goodwill and Other, ASC 360 Property, Plant and Equipment, and ASC 842 Leases)
- Prior experience with NetSuite, Workiva, BlackLine, Coupa, Certent, and Workday a plus
