Description
KNIME is growing rapidly and we’re seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. Right now, we are looking for a B2B Product and Content Marketing Lead to help us drive market awareness and customer acquisition in the fast-growing data analytics industry. The marketer can join our team at KNIME in Austin, TX*. For exceptional candidates, we are open to a remote position.
Who you are
You are an experienced inbound marketing professional, who knows how to drive content strategy to increase awareness as well as inbound activity. While you know the technical must-haves for optimal content performance, you also have an instinct for what content is interesting and meaningful for which audience. This means:
- You truly immerse yourself in the field in which you market. You’re constantly reading news and blogs to keep abreast of timely industry information.
- You have a knack for writing succinct, clear and compelling content.
- You know how to onboard and upskill writers.
- You know how to leave feedback in a way that is constructive without being offensive. You make a point to explain the why behind your edits.
- You know what it takes to create evergreen content and how to achieve month over month blog growth.
- You know how to adjust content for different promotion channels, and feel comfortable working closely with digital channel managers for both “push” and “pull” for content.
- You use the software you market, using all the available resources (people, docs, Google) to truly understand the basics of how it works.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and working in a start-up environment, where not every process is well-defined.
- You work with a high degree of autonomy, while still being open to lend a hand to your coworkers.
- You know your own bandwidth and when to say no to new projects.
- You’re a fluent English speaker with an impeccable understanding of English grammar.
That's the Job
Our company is full of content creators, but much of their content doesn’t get seen or doesn’t get translated for non-technical audiences. We’re looking for someone who can take our blog and resource center to the next level–making KNIME the go-to place for learning about data science. You would be expected to:
- Lead a team of content and product marketers to produce important and interesting content.
- Organize and develop content for top, middle and bottom-funnel efforts–balance content production for both, vertical-specific campaigns, and broader jobs-to-be-done campaigns (e.g., spreadsheet automation).
- Ensure high-quality content is re-used and adapted, rather than reinventing the wheel on similar topics.
- Set and maintain standards for tone, clarity and grammar.
- Help define and execute on go-to-market strategies and internal organizational coordination for feature launches.
- Work closely with Product and Customer Care teams to understand why users love our software and how it compares with others in the industry.
- Help better leverage the open-source community as brand ambassadors.
