Job Description
Optimus seeks a dynamic, organized Assembly Technician to help us to reach our bold growth goals assisting fleets in reducing their carbon emissions and achieving environmental sustainability goals. This is a full-time position ($18.25-$21.00), based in our offices of Pittsburgh, PA. The Assembly Technician will be our assembling of all components within and related to our Vector and SMARTFuel Systems and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position requires a level of confidence in being able to work independently, exercise effective time management, and the ability to collaborate with others when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Performs production assembly operations on electrical and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and kits
- Assist in programming of ECUs, telematics, and displays
- Creating and maintaining documentation of building instructions, SOPs and other reporting as required
- Utilizes strong time management to complete tasks without significant supervision
- Supports continuous improvement of product and systems by assessing processes and providing meaningful feedback
- Maintaining shop organization and cleanliness
- Willingness to ask questions, and seek feedback to your work
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1 year of previous assembly technician experience or transferrable, detail-oriented, hands on work
- The ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and willingness to work with other team members to solve problems
- Consistent and high level of attention to detail, exemplified by pride in one’s work
- Proven ability to work independently and under pressure with little to no supervision when necessary
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills in prioritizing, scheduling, and time management

- Frequent physical activity such as bending, twisting, standing, and lifting of tools, parts, and materials (up to 50lbs)
- Exposure to outdoor, warehouse, and shop working conditions

- Adaptive to everchanging workload, conditions, and environments
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Flexible hours of operation
