As a Client Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships: creating and maintaining strong relationships with new clients by serving as the primary point of contact in the engagement process. Understanding their financial needs and goals and providing personalized service.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting AML checks on new clients and the current client base
- Implementation of measures aimed at preventing risks in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, identifying problems, and solving them
- Verification of information and documents evidencing the commercial business nature of customer transactions, obtaining information from various databases and open sources (SPARK, REFIRENTIV World check, OFAC, ComplyAdvantage and etc.)
- Monitoring of client transactions on a daily basis in order to prevent the legalization of criminally derived proceeds in accordance with the internal documents of the Bank, the current legislation of the Republic of Georgia, and international regulations (OFAC, EU, UN, Central Bank lists and local database)
- Monitoring and periodic verification of clients, if necessary, review of business relations with an existing client, and verification of clients before opening accounts at the onboarding stage.
- Checking the compliance of clients and their activities as part of the due diligence procedure to exclude the likelihood of the Bank being involved in transactions associated with the risks of falling under sanctions and embargoes
- Maintenance of register, systematization, and storage of submitted documentation
- Communication with correspondent banking institutions: investigations, request/provision of information
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience working in a bank in a similar line of business
- Knowledge of Georgian - Fluent
- Knowledge of English - Advanced
- Knowledge of Russian - Intermediate
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to show initiative, strategic and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong client service skills and a passion for delivering service excellence
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities with strong attention to detail
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines
