Operations Manager

Direct and oversee organizational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develop and implement budgets and departmental goals to improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and the efficient delivery of products.

Essential Functions


• Determines and/or participates in quoting production manufacturing programs.• Oversees daily, weekly and/or monthly multiple shift staffing schedules, determines the appropriate job prioritization, raw materials and equipment utilization as required to maintain optimum levels of operational efficiencies and on-time deliveries. • Works closely with various managers and supervisors to develop training curriculums for improvement of assigned employees job skills, time management, self-sufficiency, and multi-tasking abilities.

• Oversees production schedules to the tool room; develops and implements budgets departmental goals and policies/procedures. For the purpose of projecting future tool readiness requirements allowing adequate time for tool cleaning and preparation. • Determines the appropriate levels of raw material, packaging and supplies inventories necessary to ensure production processing and shipping schedules are maintained at optimum levels.• Regularly consults with various department supervisors to obtain their suggestions for efficiency improvements, equipment enhancements and workflow improvements. Subsequently, submits procedure changes and equipment purchases with a positive impact to cost containment efforts. • Determines performance criteria for key positions and overall systems performance improvements necessary for development of effective long term growth plans.• Schedules and conducts “team meetings” with personnel from all assigned areas to promote goodwill, gain floor level insight on operational procedures and to provide a management sponsored forum for production employees to make suggestions or voice concerns. • Demonstrate on-going dedication to corporate continuous improvement, quality, efficiency and cost containment goals.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 5 or more years’ experience is required, preferably in a plastic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite
