You’ll be involved in each stage of a product's existence, building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software whilst promoting efficiency. We are searching for a decisive and insightful DevOps engineer
Responsibilities:
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
- Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development
- follows established processes and works as intended
- Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
- Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Striving for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous
- development, and constant deployment pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Mentoring and guiding other team members
Requirements:
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Experience developing engineering applications
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Working knowledge of databases
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
