About the role:
The Kubernetes Platforms Team supports and advances the heart of industry at CoreWeave. Nearly every CoreWeave product and technology utilizes Kubernetes in some capacity and with tens of thousands of Servers and their associated control planes and supporting services, the Kubernetes Platforms Team sets the tone for reliability, efficiency, and simplicity. This team is responsible for the software development and operations lifecycle of dedicated and multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters across CoreWeave’s footprint and has a major role in the integration of custom components into the CoreWeave Kubernetes product experience.We are seeking an engineering leader for the Kubernetes Platforms team to help us organize and grow the capability of the Kubernetes Platforms team.
This individual will serve a group of 6-10 high-performing engineers by minimizing sources of engineer friction and fostering a culture of transparency, congruency, and communication . As the Manager of this team you would have the opportunity to:
- Identify and minimize sources of friction that impede your team’s ability to be the best engineering team they can be.
- Partner with your technical leaders to maintain priorities, develop roadmaps, and make critical resourcing decisions.
- Drive the culture and tone for how your team keeps score both in how they support each other and how they enable the rest of CoreWeave.
- Support your people and create opportunities for them to be challenged and grow.
- Work directly with other engineering teams to coordinate dependencies and achieve project goals.
- Work with your team to develop and implement processes enabling a reliable, mature practice of platform delivery and development.

- You have six or more years of experience in a software or infrastructure engineering industry

- You have some experience in delivering and/or consuming the domains of Kubernetes orchestration, microservice development, Kubernetes controller and operator engineering, and/or stateful distributed systems.
- You have some prior experience as an engineer with operational responsibilities and can guide the development of a program for reliability, scalability, and observability.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $185,000-$220,000 annually. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
