We are looking for a leader to build a world-class data organization to help grow and scale the Data and Analytics teams at COMPLY in a rich and rapidly growing dataset environment. 

The Head of Data and Analytics


is a crucial role responsible for shaping and driving data-driven decision-making, implementing analytics strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring the effective management of an organization's data assets. In this role, you will collaborate with the various business units to drive deep insights into our data sitting on a scalable infrastructure. You will partner with business and product teams to ensure we can get predictive insights supporting the growth of our business. Qualifications for this role will encompass a combination of education, experience, technical skills, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities


  • Create and articulate a clear vision and strategy for leveraging data and analytics to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure that data and analytics initiatives align with the broader strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance data and analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance in conjunction with peers.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and other professionals.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Direct the development of advanced analytics models and machine learning algorithms to derive actionable insights.
  • Implement and manage processes for integrating diverse data sources to provide a unified view.
  • Oversee data and analytics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data and analytics initiatives and monitor performance against targets.
  • Implement measures to maintain and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Promote a data-driven culture throughout the organization, encouraging teams to use data for decision-making.

Education


  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Modeling, Statistics, or related discipline

Experience


  • Proven track record of leadership in data and analytics roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Industry-specific experience to understand the unique challenges and opportunities related to data and analytics in the financial sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for data and analytics that aligns with overall business goals.
  • The ability to collaborate with all leaders in the organization to drive a strong data culture at the company.
  • Experience leading change initiatives, especially in the context of evolving data and analytics capabilities within an organization.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee complex analytics projects from conception to implementation.
  • Strong communicator who can easily navigate the organization and facilitate strategic conversations with key stakeholders.

Technical Skills


  • Expertise in data governance, data quality, data integration, and data lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
  • Understanding of data architecture principles and experience in designing scalable and efficient data infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with implementing and managing data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights effectively.

Soft Skills and Leadership Traits


  • Strong communication skills to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically and align data and analytics initiatives with broader business strategies.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
  • A forward-thinking and innovative approach to leveraging data for competitive advantage and business growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex data and analytics challenges.
  • Commitment to ethical data practices, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology landscapes and industry trends in data and analytics.

$185,000 - $200,000 a year

The compensation range for this role is specific to the United States and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, training, licensure and certification, and experience. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role would be $185,000-$200,000 plus applicable bonus/benefits offerings, etc as those similarly situated within the Company.
