Job Summary: Reporting to the CIO, this role is a senior leadership and business partner role responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and management of Information Technology across the Commercial Operations functions of Madrigal including Market Access, Payor Operations, Pricing, Revenue Management and Trade Management. This position requires a seasoned IT professional with a strong understanding of the unique IT needs and challenges within these core Commercial Operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with Commercial Operations objectives and the overall business strategyCollaborate with senior leadership to ensure IT initiatives support and enhance Commercial Operations processes, including sales, market access, and customer engagementIT Commercial Operations Integration:Lead the integration of IT solutions into Commercial Operations processes, ensuring alignment with compliance, regulatory, and data privacy requirementsIdentify opportunities for leveraging technology to optimize Commercial Operations, enhance sales effectiveness, and improve market accessSystem Design and Implementation:Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of IT systems supporting Commercial Operations functions such as Pricing systems and tools, Market Access solutions, Revenue Management, and integration across the pharma order-to-cash value chain.  Experience with IntegriChain, Model N, Tribeca, or similar plus hands-on experience working with pharma distributors and 3Pl’s / 4PL’s requiredEnsure systems comply with regulatory standards and industry best practicesTeam Management:Build and lead a high-performing IT team supporting Commercial Operations, fostering a collaborative and innovative work cultureProvide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growthCollaboration with Stakeholders:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Market Access, Marketing, and IT teams, to understand IT needs and deliver integrated solutionsEngage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure IT solutions align with Commercial Operations goalsData Analytics and Reporting:Implement data analytics and reporting solutions to provide insights into sales performance, market trends, and customer behaviorDrive data-driven decision-making within Commercial Operations teamsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred15 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with a focus on supporting Commercial Operations in the pharmaceutical industryProven track record of successful implementation and management of IT systems supporting Commercial Operations processesStrong understanding of regulatory requirements related to IT systems in the context of Commercial OperationsSkills and Competencies:Strategic thinking and leadership abilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong project management skills with a focus on delivering resultsIn-depth knowledge of IT systems relevant to Commercial OperationsRegulatory affairs knowledge related to IT systems in the pharmaceutical industryWe are an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
