The Senior Program Manager will work with the multi-disciplinary engineering team, business development, and leadership to ensure program objectives are met on time and on budget.
The successful candidate will understand engineering concepts, create, and maintain project schedules, hold team members accountable, and communicate status and risks to all stakeholders. This role requires someone who is a clear thinker who can identify roadblocks and dig in to help remove them. S/he will be the coordinator of the Altaeros Product Development Process and also able to challenge status quo, suggest changes and implement improvements. S/he has exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational talent, adaptability, and a “get-it-done” attitude.Altaeros is a rapidly growing team working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
We are looking for someone who is excited to jump into highly complex, multi-disciplinary projects and who can quickly come up to speed to begin driving decisions and adding value.
Within your first 6 months you will:
· Reach a high level of familiarity with the SuperTower family of products.· Organize and lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, manufacturing technicians, sales and marketing people to meet project schedules and budgets.· Facilitate team meetings, create, and deliver presentations, and drive meetings to action-oriented decisions.· Assist with the production team to ensure BOM integrity in ERP system (Acumatica), reduce supply chain issues and maintain inventory status.· Work with leadership to set Altaeros’ business objectives and continually update priorities.· Suggest and drive operational process improvements.· Interface with and serve as a primary technical point of contact for key customers.· Assist the Business Development Team in transitioning wins to projects.
Qualifications:
· BS/MS degree, in a technical field strongly preferred.· 10+ yrs in engineering product development· 5+ yrs in program management in electro-mechanical-software products· Experience with large Government contracts a plus· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to create open and trusting team dynamics.· Excellent influence management skill to collaborate with both leaders and individual contributors.· Strong drive, initiative, and organizational skills· “Startup Attitude”: Quick learner, enthusiastic, nimble & adaptable· Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.Altaeros is in a transition phase from an early growth stage company to low rate initial production with backing from SoftBank, SPARX, Safar Partners, SKK, and others.
