Join our client's dynamic Projects Team as a Project Planning Manager, specializing in HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) design, construction, and equipment supply for the global power industry.As a key player in their Fenton, MO offices, you'll contribute to developing and maintaining the company's project plans, enabling measurement, analysis, and comprehensive customer reporting to drive successful business outcomes. This role offers a hybrid work environment, adapting to the dynamic needs of the industry.Reporting directly to the Projects and Planning Senior Manager, the Planning Manager will lead and guide the Planning group, champion the use of company planning tools, and innovate tools for resource workload analysis.
Your impact will extend beyond managerial duties, actively shaping the future of their project planning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the Planning department, effectively communicating company and role-specific expectations.
Actively coach subordinates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and talent development.
Monitor and report on schedule performance against baseline, ensuring on-time delivery.
Support the company by conducting resource workload analysis and refining planning strategies.
Qualifications:
To ensure success in this role, we're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Microsoft Project and Primavera Planning Experience: Prior experience with Project Server is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Particularly skilled in Excel and Access.
Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years managing direct reports with a focus on leadership and talent building.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal reasoning and critical thinking abilities, coupled with high-level communication skills.
Professionalism: Highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in English.
