Job Overview:
The General Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This role involves analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and supporting the finance department in daily operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports for accuracy and completeness.Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of transactions.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements).Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.Assist with audits and tax filings as needed.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Proven experience +3 as an accountant or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.CPA certification or relevant professional certification is a plus.
