Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Backend Engineer, your role will be crucial in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge software solutions. You will be in charge of:
Building and maintaining our Backend Infrastructure on top of Google Cloud Platform.
Developing APIs for use within our product.
Managing our multi-tenant MongoDB database and increasing its efficiency at scale.
Working with Frontend Engineers in order to provide a seamless user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Languages: JavaScript (with knowledge of Typescript and/or JSDoc)
Databases: MongoDB
Server Environments: Node.js
Frameworks: Express.js
Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform
Effective communication skills.
Collaborative team player.
Nice to have Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with Twilio and Stripe.
Experience with Redis.
Experience with Monorepos and NPM Workspaces.
Knowledge of React or Next.js and how frontends interface with backend APIs.
Knowledge of Docker.
Experience using Jira software and tools.
Strong technical grasp and excellent judgment on project scoping and work prioritization.
History of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering and development efficiency.
