The Role
We are looking for a mobile and growth focused Product Manager to own a suite of mobile applications within our portfolio of consumer products across the navigation, productivity and utility verticals.Product managers at Appex are business leaders who focus on growing existing businesses and creating new features that elevate them, as well as new business entirely. Our ideal Product Manager is a great communicator, who has led cross-functional initiatives working alongside Engineers, QA, UX, Marketing, Operations, a Design agency, and other internal and external stakeholders.
We expect our PMs to interface with customers regularly as we build for our users.
What You’ll Do
Alongside the head of the portfolio, create a business strategy and translate it into a product strategy and roadmap for your portfolio of products both at the app level and at the portfolio level.
Drive execution of the strategy by breaking down the roadmap into executable initiatives with clear requirements and milestones and partnering with engineering to bring solutions to life.
Use data to prioritize opportunities, measure impact, identify learnings, and define scalable and repeatable playbooks.
Optimize portfolio-level collaboration with growth to achieve target goals for your portfolio of products.
Lead regular initiative meetings and own communication around recent launches, key product and business metrics, changes to roadmap priorities, and critical escalations.
Partner with our small team of Engineering, UX, Marketing, and Analytics to continue improving our processes and become a best-in-class product organization.
Who You Are
Experienced: 3+ years of product management experience required, in a fast-paced organization, working on mobile products.
Entrepreneurial: you’re scrappy, roll up your sleeves, and take an “I’ll figure it out” approach to problem-solving.
An owner: you can seamlessly straddle thinking about both the product and the business and are equally comfortable talking about funnel metrics and P&Ls.
Customer driven: you empathize with customer problems and needs, and anchor your work back to solving for the customer.
Biased for action: you operate with a sense of urgency, make good decisions with incomplete data, and are constantly optimizing for learning.
A big thinker: you can look across your portfolio of products and business and can come up with a strategy that helps your team understand what needs to be done and why.
A data expert: you can analyze and understand large data sets and filter out the noise, distilling the complex to be simple. You can use this data to solve problems, identify opportunities, and are capable of inventing and using new metrics in order to learn and make decisions.
Excited by a challenge: product managers at Appex are the leaders of their respective businesses and thus wear many hats. You need to be up for anything and excited to dive in!
