Data Analyst will work in the dynamics and data team, and assist with the analysis of avionics and other test data for the Altaeros SuperTowers™ and the development of data software.

Key Responsibilities:
• Data collection and processing. Gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and specifications.• Data analysis. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.• Reporting and visualization. Create clear and insightful data visualizations, dashboards, or reports. Present findings to stakeholders to support engineering and business decision-making processes.• Data software development.
Maintain the existing MATLAB codebase and develop new software tools to collect, process, analyze and visualize data. Improve the software robustness and level of automation toward commercial application.• Opportunity to be involved in a wide range of additional activities in a dynamic engineering team.
Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a highly related field.• 2+ years’ experience using MATLAB or similar programming languages for computational work and data analysis.
Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.• Comfort working with large datasets and automated data processing.• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.• ‘Startup Attitude’: Quick learner, passionate, nimble & adaptable.
Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or R.• Knowledge of descriptive statistics.
Highly desired, but not required:
• Knowledge of aerodynamics and flight dynamics of fixed-wing aircrafts or lighter-than-air vehicles• Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.• Knowledge of machine learning or deep learning concepts.
