What You’ll Do
The Senior QA Engineer is a key role for our success. This can be a remote or hybrid position, with occasional travel to our New Hampshire R&D facility and Massachusetts office required, and optional travel to field sites to review user experience. As a Software team member at Altaeros, you have the opportunity to define, design and build a completely unique product. Key Responsibilities:
· Partnering with developers, validating and verifying changes to the Altaeros mission management software suite.· Defining test cases and create test plans for functional and system tests of Aerostat Autopilot.· Executing manual test cases.· Building and extending our automated test suite.· Liaising with our Services team to be aware of problems being reported by users· Work with developers to triage and reproduce field and customer reported issues and ensure that they are fixed in future releases.· Reviewing User Experience for all operations workflows
Within your first 6 months you will:
• QA test our extensive suite of mission management tools.• Validate and verify feature additions to existing products and bug fixes, ensuring a high-quality solution that meets customer needs.• Create test tools and automation.• Partner with developers to create a comprehensive test strategy.• Write tests and documentation and represent the customer experience.• Liaise with our Services team on field issues.
Qualifications:
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with logical and repeatable approach to diagnosing and debugging problems.· Experience developing and executing test strategies for features and solutions and writing tests based on user requirements for front end and back end applications.· Experience with an automation tool and designing/writing automation test scripts.· Knowledge of how to analyze a change set or feature to determine how to regression test existing features.· Able to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade systems.· The ability to work with a geographically dispersed team.· BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent field, or equivalent working experience· Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.· Authorized to work in the United States.
