ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking our first Engineering Manager, who will report directly to our CTO and Co-Founder at our San Francisco office. We're looking for someone to assume greater operational responsibility in areas such as quality assurance, release processes, balancing technical debt, systematizing project roadmaps, and providing mentorship to our engineers.
SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON
Aiding the engineering team to deliver on high velocity products without degrading quality while increasing the quality delivered by the team.
Building and instituting stable release process helping Pallet prepare for enterprise customers
Executing on scaling and professionalizing products with strong Product-Market Fit (PMF), and embark on the creation of innovative new offerings.
Striking a balance between addressing technical debt and refining architectural foundations, all the while meeting and surpassing near-term product objectives.
Pioneering the scalability of the organization to accommodate an extensive array of distinct products, all underpinned by a common foundational structure.
Crafting and refining processes that enable a diverse range of talent profiles to flourish within the company, fostering excellence while maintaining speed and efficiency.
Our tech stack is: Typescript, React, React Native, Node, PostgreSQL and GraphQL
YOU HAVE
5+ years Software Engineering experience
2+ years of Eng Manager experience mentoring junior-staff level engineers
Experience working at an early-stage startup
Experience with modern technology (i.e javascript, python, react, etc.)
Ability to prioritize engineering outcomes in the lens of business objectives
Experience building design processes and strong data modeling & system design skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills esp with
NICE TO HAVES
Experience being a founding engineer or working at a seed stage startup
Previously been a founder

Average usage of product 5+ hours a day, business critical software.
The team built the entire system of record, accounting and routing suite, a very strong and hardworking engineering team.

POSITION'S COMPENSATION RANGE
$160-205k and generous equity ✌️
