This is a mostly remote but hybrid role to support facilitating collaboration and team building. The office is located across from Guildford Mall in Surrey, BC. They are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineering Manager to provide leadership to three teams consisting of 14 team members, including software developers, QA, and an Architect.Position Overview:On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a Canadian product team/branch of a larger entity based in Utah.
This role will lead three engineering teams for one of their product lines. The roles scope includes leading our technical resources and teams dedicated to building their flagship academic product for the global dental academic market. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated people and technical leadership experience for enterprise software products.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA, to ensure successful project delivery.
Define and implement best practices for software development, coding standards, and code reviews.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Drive innovation and excellence in software engineering processes and methodologies.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budget to meet organizational goals.
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and identify opportunities for professional development within the team.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Software Engineer Manager or similar role.
Strong technical background with expertise in Microsoft technologies such as C++ and C#/.Net, although this is a pure leadership and not a codingrole..
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead high-performing software engineering teams.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, agile practices, and project management principles.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Compensation:$155.000 - $160.000
