We are looking for hard-working, fun-loving, values-driven, self-starters to join us in building Gigbanc - Africa’s best neobank for freelancers and creators. We offer a fast, low-cost, reliable, way for African freelancers and creators to receive and send money from/to foreign clients and other individuals and easily store and exchange between multiple currencies. Our target customer is a digital freelancer (e.g. software engineer, graphic designer, etc) who is 20-35 years old, living in Africa and working for foreign clients.
We seek to provide a truly enjoyable customer experience through thoughtful UI/UX design and best-in-class customer service. We also aim to enable our customers to build strong financial health through a suite of value-added products including bill payment, credit, insurance, investing, and more. Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of a strategic Minimum Viable Product (MVP) project. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement testing strategies, identify defects, and contribute to delivering a high-quality MVP to our users.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Planning
Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
Define test cases, scenarios, and scripts to cover functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
Test Execution
Execute manual and automated tests according to test plans, identifying and documenting defects and deviations from expected behavior.
Verify fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure stability across multiple iterations.
Automated Testing
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Performance and Load Testing
Conduct performance and load testing to assess system responsiveness, scalability, and stability under varying conditions.
Analyze test results and collaborate with development teams to optimize performance bottlenecks.
Documentation and Reporting
Document and maintain test cases, procedures, and results to provide clear visibility into the testing process.
Generate comprehensive defect reports and communicate findings to the development team and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with development teams to enhance testing processes and methodologies, striving for a culture of continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive testing tasks to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience (2+ years) as a QA Engineer, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
Proficiency in utilizing QA tools and frameworks for automated testing (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and load testing strategies.
Experience working in an agile development environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
