About the role
We are looking for Backend Engineers to join our growing engineering team, and guide the evolution of and build out our backend systems as we scale. For us, this isn’t just about technical performance, but also supporting the internal human processes that will always power much of our product. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Customer Support, Growth and other functions to design and build out a reliable, performant, and secure platform for handling remittances across countries. As an early member of the team, we hope you will also have a lot of impact on our team culture, processes and norms.
What we're seeking
- Professional experience building backend systems
- Proficiency with Kotlin or Java
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with AWS: S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, etc.
- Experience implementing and managing elaborate integrations with third-party APIs
- Experience working on systems that have real-world performance and reliability constraints
- Experience developing software in a collaborative, multi-functional, and fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and ability to manage conflicting priorities, setting expectations with stakeholders and be a driving force
