The Company
Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. Metropolis' computer vision platform enables people to transact in the physical world with even greater ease than we experience online. Today, we are reimagining parking. Because it's important, it's everywhere, and impacts everyone – enabling millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out" – that's it. Tomorrow, we will power "checkout-free" experiences anywhere you go.
The Role
Metropolis is seeking a Senior UX & Product Designer to develop and execute an overall experience design strategy aligned with company goals, target audiences, and the product and engineering roadmap. In this role you will play a key role in re-inventing the parking experience for both parking customers and real-estate partners by continuously improving the digital and physical user experience across the Metropolis ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead design thinking workshops to generate ideas and solutions for user experience strategies. Plan and structure work across multiple design/product teams, keeping designers (and cross-functional peers) focused on product and business objectives. Bring a user-centered design perspective to discussions around product vision, roadmap, and requirements with product and technical leadership
- User Research: Oversee usability and concept testing of prototypes in laboratory and real-life settings. Conduct user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Use these insights to inform design decisions and improve the user experience
- User Experience Design: Develop user journeys that address customer and business needs and express them in the form of design blueprints and frameworks for user journeys. Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas and gather feedback.
- Product Design: Lead the product and feature design process from concept to execution to testing, ensuring the delivery of intuitive, user-friendly, and effective designs. Establish design standards and ensure alignment. Proactively source analytics and customer feedback to derive relevant design and usability insights.

- Strong understanding of the B2B and B2C landscape, with demonstrated success designing experiences that drive B2B sales and B2C customer acquisition and retention.
- Extensive knowledge of service design, UX research, product design and development processes.
- Experience designing hybrid digital and physical service models is a plus.
- Experience in the transportation, real-estate, or related fields is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
