Tech Lead Manager, Product Fullstack

Every year, $2.8B dollar worth of products (think EV batteries) go through UnitX AI inspection system to ensure quality.We are looking for an enthusiastic Tech Lead Manager to join our team supporting us in the next phase following our Series B.
You will ship software running on actual production lines in factories around the world.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement performant, reliable, and real-time systems. Solve open-ended, broad, and challenging technical problems in deep learning, robotics, mechatronics, and hardware-software integration.
- Own the technical roadmap and architecture of the system and be responsible for release velocity and quality. Own the full life cycle of software development, including testing, code reviews, and agile development methodologies.
- Own the technical design and architecture for long-term extensibility and maintenance.
- Write or rewrite high-performance and maintainable code in Python/C/React for both backend and frontend systems.
- Lift the technical bar, and drive high quality engineering practices across the engineering org.
- Lead projects and mentor both junior and senior engineers in remote teams.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in programming and shipping production software at scale.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical leader, owning a long-term product development roadmap and collaborating closely with the product team. Track of record of shipping production features.
- Deep technical knowledge of high-performance real-time software, including application layer network protocol trade-offs (TCP/HTTP/gRPC), storage types and their trade-offs, common security vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
- Clear communication in English and Mandarin. Your ideas, feedback, key decisions, and technical designs will be shared with other senior engineers, partners, and the company's leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly motivated self-starter who has a passion for the robotics, autonomous, deep learning startup space.
- Prior experience of building large scale real-time video processing software
- Prior experience in ML, embedded systems.
