About this role


As FP&A Lead at Waymark, you will be responsible for the development of and day-to-day forecasting and budgeting activities for the company.  You are a strong team player, able to keep our finance team members on track with budget and to keep investors informed on the most recent financial developments.  As the source closest to the financials, you will be called upon to answer Executive Leadership Team and Investor questions and to update the projections as needed.  As needs for new technologies and partnerships arise, you may be called upon to help complete ROI calculations and assist with go/no go decisions.  Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be Waymark’s first FP&A team member and have the opportunity to shape our modeling and work with team members throughout the organization.  

Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain FP&A systems for tracking and reporting on spend.
  • Partner with our Accounting Lead on GL creation and maintenance as well as creating a budget that works efficiently in our Netsuite environment.
  • Update budgeting and forecasting models to reflect the most recent staffing, technologies, memberships, save estimates, etc.
  • At least monthly meetings with internal partners on staff and non-staff spend.  Ensure that staffing is on track with budget.
  • Monthly budget vs. actual reporting as well as discussion around variances.  This includes a quarterly meeting with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Investor financial reporting, as required.
  • Assistance with the development of board narrative / decks for quarterly meetings.
  • Development of scenario testing for fundraising opportunities.
  • Assist with Payroll responsibilities as needed
  • Assist with all things Finance.  You may be asked to help with accounting/payroll/pricing/contract review etc. from time to time.

Minimum qualifications


  • Team oriented individual with great communication skills.
  • Problem solver who can work independently.
  • Highly advanced Excel user (index formulas, complex ifs statements, scenario / sensitivity modeling)
  • Ability to build tools for easy reporting.
  • 10+ years experience in FP&A, or Healthcare Finance.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment where we pivot quickly.

Preferred qualifications 


  • Healthcare finance experience
  • Familiarity with Managed Medicaid
  • Netsuite Experience

Salary Range:

Compensation will depend on multiple factors, including job location, training, education, and experience.
US employees in New York City, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $154,000.00 - $200,000.00 USDUS employees in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Diego & Washington DC: $138,000.00 - $180,000.00 USDUS employees outside of the above listed US Cities: $131,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD

Benefits and Other Compensation:

Medical, vision, dental, basic life insurance, and stock options available for the hired applicant.  Employees also receive twenty (20) vacation days, accrued over the year and eleven (11) paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Sixteen (16) weeks of parental leave for birthing parents will also be available for use after successful completion of six (6) months of employment, eight (8) weeks of bonding leave for non-birthing parents.  Employees are able to enroll in our 401(k) plan and commuter benefits plan.
