Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Wish.com, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver and successful in combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our Looker environment. You will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by building robust Looker dashboards, models, reports, and visualizations, and empowering Looker being a self-serving BI tool.
- Develop complex LookML models with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
- Create highly interactive and dynamic dashboards and visualizations that are clear, concise, and user-friendly.
- Optimize Looker performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Looker-related issues, ensuring a high level of accuracy, speed, and stability in the environment.
- Provide clear and consistent documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements within Looker.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality and availability for Looker consumption.
- Proactively seek and implement ways to leverage Looker for deeper insights and more impactful business decisions.
- Stay informed on the latest Looker trends, best practices, and innovations, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of data visualization and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing with Looker, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem.
- Expert-level knowledge of LookML, including its capabilities and best practices.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
