This roleWe are looking for Digital Design Engineers to take a leading role in the development and implementation of SerDes digital control logic, microcontrollers (μC), and chip-level Physical Layer (PHY) integration for our integrated technology which will accelerate machine learning computation in data centers.This role is open to remote from anywhere in the world, but we have strong preference towards availability in US and / or Central Europe timezones.This role aims for multiple hires in different seniority levels.
Areas of contribution
- Design, develop, and optimize digital control logic for serializer/deserializer systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement and/or integrate microcontrollers for control and boot processes within the SerDes framework, enhancing system efficiency and functionality.
- Lead the efforts in integrating PHY at the chip level, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
- Develop and enforce compliance and architecture requirements (CAR) for SerDes systems, ensuring all designs meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Drive the development and integration of boot microcontroller code, focusing on system stability and performance from startup.
Requirements (necessary skills for this role):
- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in SerDes digital control logic, microcontroller integration, and PHY integration at the chip level.
- Proficiency in RTL development with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and familiarity with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly and effectively.
Nice-to-haves (we will prioritize candidates that also have these skills):
- A Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience in hardware/software co-design, particularly in the context of SerDes systems.
- A background in applying principles of computer architecture to address complex design challenges.
- Knowledge and experience in mapping computational workloads to specialized hardware architectures.
$110,000 - $210,000 a yearThe salary range is an estimation for US only and is applicable to a wide seniority level. Salary range for candidates out of the US will be determined based on the market salaries and living expenses of the specific country.For all roles, we target market salaries, with an additional benefits package. Our comprehensive benefits include startup equity and medical expenses coverage (including extra coverage for employees with a family).
