What You'll Do:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals across platforms. 
  • Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them per platform.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, and audio) across social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and beyond)
  • Work closely with the team to brainstorm out-of-the-box, groundbreaking ideas for social and guerilla marketing endeavors. 
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster conversations to build a community around the brand. Develop strong relationships across audiences spanning multi-platforms. 
  • Address any issues or crises that arise on social media, maintaining the brand’s reputation.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns. Iterate and adapt with the social team.
  • Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize tools like Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and other social media analytics tools to grow and adapt social strategy over time. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices per platform. Adapt accordingly.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Content, Product, and Paid Marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.

What You'll Bring:


  • 3+ years of experience with social media marketing, buzz marketing, community management and brand awareness online.
  • A positive and adaptive personality, with a willingness to jump into account management head first. Thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment. 
  • A strong self-starter who is inspired to build a brand’s social presence from the ground up.
  • Taking inspiration from #booktok, #bookstagram and author communities to inspire a unique content plan. Ability to keep your thumb on trends and upcoming opportunities and jump on them swiftly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit, Discord, etc.) and management tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later).
  • Strong understanding of social media KPIs and analytics and how to leverage them.
  • Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus.
  • Wanted but not preferred: Social media presence. 
  • Video editing skills (CapCut, TikTok, Reels, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)
  • Comfortable with being on camera and editing content.
  • Creative and innovative thinker with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000-$300,000 USD.
