Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Head of Business Operations to join our senior leadership team. This is an opportunity to take Verto’s Operations team to the next level and play a major part in our company's growth and future trajectory. The Head of Business Operations reports directly to our CEO and will be the lead orchestrator for our operations across five areas – Payment Operations, Expansion Operations, Middle Office, Customer Support, and People.
Requirements:
● A proven track record of scaling operations in technology-driven companies● Prior leadership experience covering operational payments and cash management● People management experience (leading teams and helping to develop other’s careers)● Significant successful experience managing large, complex programs and projects.● A bias toward action: You do what it takes to get immediate results while building toward more scalable solutions● Roll-up your sleeves/scrappy mentality: Someone that can do the work of the team – this is not a people management role only● Cross-functional communicator: With the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and navigate any natural tensions between various groups
What you'll be doing
Your role involves executing at a high standard across three areas:
1. Operational Excellence
● You will be responsible for scaling our operations globally. This means you will be setting the bar high for quality by establishing, monitoring and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensuring these standards are clearly communicated and achieved. You'll be the driving force behind identifying opportunities for refining processes and improving scalability● Your collaboration with our product teams will be crucial in enhancing our core offerings and reducing the need for manual intervention● You'll keep a close eye on our operational capacity, making key decisions such as collaborating with team leads to shift or expand our workforce.
Your insights will be key in pinpointing inefficiencies and managing operational costs
2. Operational Resilience
● The financial and regulatory landscape in our key markets are complex, and with this comes a need for resilience and adaptability● You'll be at the forefront, working alongside compliance and product teams to anticipate regulatory shifts and prepare our product, engineering and operations teams to practically meet these challenges head-on● You will own Verto’s vendor management infrastructure, including due diligence, ongoing performance evaluation and monitoring of the company’s vendors and third-party service providers● Your role involves planning, project and program management, and communication with both internal as well as external parties to align requirements with both Verto’s plans and our customer needs
