POSITION SUMMARY


eGenesis is seeking an experienced, highly engaged People Operations Specialist who will hold a variety of responsibilities to support the daily People Operations of the company’s three Midwest facilities. The successful candidate will be a positive on-site presence with significant influence to the overall company culture at our Midwest sites. A successful candidate will have a proven ability to connect with a broad audience to maintain effective, collaborative relationships with employees and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

The ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality will be critical to providing exceptional support to our team. A typical day will include employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition support, onboarding activities, benefits administration, and performance management processes, with opportunities to work on projects across the People Operations Team to promote continued career growth. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Promote a positive and engaging culture across our Midwest teams with regular employee engagement 
  • Be onsite People Operations lead with engagement and high touch support with all Midwest employees and provide prompt responses to daily requests and questions 
  • Support the talent acquisition experience, including sourcing, interview scheduling and background checks 
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities for all Midwest new hires  
  • Responsible for benefits administration as needed for new hires, open enrollment and invoice management 
  • Administer the leave management process for Midwest teams, and provide high touch support  
  • Collaborate with the broader People Business Partners on ongoing employee development, team engagement, and overall company initiatives
  • Assist the People Operations Team on annual initiatives such as goal setting, performance management, benefits open enrollment, and summer intern programming 
  • Travel to our Indiana facility monthly or as People Operations initiatives dictate to provide frequent in-person People Operations support to our Indiana team  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • BA/BS with 2-3 years of relevant human resources experience (Experience across multiple HR disciplines is preferred)
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource Management and employment-related laws and regulations, or willingness to learn 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience in rapidly changing organizations and dealing with the stress that such change can place on the organization and individual team members
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including calendar management
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems
  • Previous experience with Paylocity, Culture Amp and/or Lever a plus
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
