About the role:

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic. You’ll be proficient at problem-solving, helping to deliver the core infrastructure, associated pipelines and related services in a pragmatic way that focuses on keeping the Platform team a core component of software delivery, from providing the platform for application developers to build on. You’ll be an effective communicator and a team player.

You and your team will move in a fast-paced engineering environment, achieving outstanding results and delivering exciting projects.

Your Dev experience will include:

  • Previous CI/CD experience;
  • Experienced in Java, Node.js or Go but any relevant development experience is a huge plus (E.g. Powershell or Bash);
  • Being an advocate of TDD: Writing infrastructure or code without tests should be unthinkable;
  • Having a solid understanding and passion for excellent software development practises;
  • Legally being able to live and work in Portugal.

Your Ops experience will include:

  • Significant experience in production;
  • Substantial experience of container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes;
  • Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure;
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure as code tools including Terraform and Ansible (ARM Template, Bicep or Pulumi are welcome);
  • Building, shipping and running using Docker;
  • Understanding how a Load Balancer works and having used either Traefik, Nginx, HaProxy or a Cloud-based Load Balancer;
  • Experience in using a Linux/RHEL/Ubuntu environment.

You’ll be:

  • Self-motivated, proactive and always looking for ways to improve and develop yourself;
  • Diplomatic, emotionally intelligent, have an ability to listen and be open to others’ points of view;
  • A good communicator, both in writing and verbally. You’ll be able to explain technical ideas and concepts in business-friendly language;
  • A genuine believer in diversity, fairness, and inclusion;
  • Legally able to live and work in Portugal.

What you’ll get in return:

  • The chance to work with a forward thinking, ethical, and fun group of people and to develop and grow your skills in a fast moving business

Our typical Recruitment Process looks like this:

  • 1st Interview with someone from the Talent team (30/45 mins)
  • Technical Interview with our Senior Engineers (1h30)

We live and breathe our values, and know you will too:

  • Growing every day
  • Including everyone
  • Relationships built on honesty and ethics
  • Inspiring solutions
  • Winning together
