GlobaLogix is seeking an energetic and self-driven business development manager to pursue Automation & Control Engineering and Field Installation Service opportunities in the Energy, Utilities, Agriculture and Food & Beverage Industries.   Candidate shall have a firm understanding of industrial control system concepts and effectively communicate within various levels of prospects’ and clients’ organizations, including Engineering, Operations, Project Management, OT Network Managers, SCADA personnel, etc.  The candidate must be comfortable building relationships with clients from the corporate office to the field office.  The position will be Houston-based and approximately 20% travel is expected.  Travel expenses are paid by the company.

Responsibilities


Research, engage, and meet prospective clients to gain business in designing, installing, upgrading, programming and commissioning industrial control systems and related power and communication networks.   Support and manage existing accounts at the same high level of support as new prospects.Proven ability to build lasting relationships with decision makers in target industries.

  • Successful in presenting products and solutions to prospects and existing clients  
  • Successful in building rapport, trust and confidence with new prospects and existing clients
  • Successful in securing a solution and experience beneficial to both the client and the company

Position Tasks Include


  • Research companies, people, and projects and qualify prospects
  • Set appointments and engage new prospects and existing clients
  • Identify early and dismiss “no go” prospects or projects
  • Identify client requirements and opportunities
  • Develop and effectively deliver presentations on GlobaLogix capabilities
  • Gain referrals
  • Secure orders
  • Write effective and technically proficient proposals
  • Learn and communicate the technical and engineering aspects of GlobaLogix-provided services
  • Manage the transition of a successful sale to the internal execution team(s)   
  • Establish personal performance goals commensurate with the Annual Sales Plan
  • Be available for short notice travel and occasional after-hours customer support 
  • Network with industry groups and individuals
  • Maintain sales information in the CRM system

 Education and Experience Level


  • Prior sales experience in industrial automation or similar industries
  • Water/Wastewater and Oil & Gas experience highly recommended
  • Electrical, Automation, and or Engineering background preferred
  • College Degree and/or a minimum of five years of successful sales experience in the industrial automation industry
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with the use of social media
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word and Excel
