General Summary:

The Director of RINs/LCFS Trading and Sales will be responsible for monetization of RIN and LCFS compliance credits generated from Anew’s renewable fuels portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:


  • Create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that successfully achieve business objectives and commercial obligations for Anew and its clients.
  • Responsible for deal execution including external relationship management, commercial negotiations, and contracting
  • Meets client needs by demonstrating knowledge of regulations, markets, pricing, and competition
  • Conduct market research and analyze results to adjust sales and marketing strategy for maximum success
  • Utilize expertise in environmental markets to identify and develop prospective buyer relationships and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Work cross functionally with renewable fuel Origination teams, Operations, Settlements, Finance, Legal, and Account Management

Required Education, Experience and Certification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory environmental policies and markets (including the Renewable Fuel Standard, California Low Carbon Fuel Standard, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in RIN/LCFS trading, renewable fuels, or clean fuel product markets, or analytics required.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining external relationships.
  • Experience with Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) a plus

Skills:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to communicate analytical data, technical information and market fundamentals in layman’s terms
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Houston area
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
