The Role:


As a UX Researcher at Better Collective Lisbon, you will become a crucial part of our UX Research team, collaborating with colleagues in Copenhagen, Nís, and Rio de Janeiro. This role places you at the heart of our efforts to enhance user experiences and drive strategic improvements across a wide array of brands within the Better Collective portfolio. While a portion of your work will involve collaboration with our esports team to understand market trends and user behaviours on platforms like Futbin and HLTV, the majority of your focus will be directed towards our broader portfolio, including sports news and betting content.

Your expertise in these areas is vital for enhancing user experiences and contributing to the strategic direction of our products and services.Rooted in mutual support and collaboration, our team creates a nurturing environment that ensures no one feels isolated, no matter where they are located. This role offers you a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across various aspects of our business. You will provide critical insights that drive our success in diverse markets and play a key role in the continuous improvement of our products and services.In this role, you will delve into the intricacies of various global markets, such as the US and Europe, engaging in in-depth market and user experience research as a key part of your responsibilities. This focus on market research, while a crucial aspect of your role, complements your broader responsibilities and contributes significantly to our capacity to serve our customers globally and influence the strategic direction of our portfolio.

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct in-depth market research and generate actionable insights on trends and patterns across different markets, with an emphasis on esports and other online platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with our esports team to understand the specific needs and preferences of esports audiences, particularly related to Futbin.
  • Run and analyse continuous tests of key Better Collective products and features across various markets.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyse interviews with potential and existing users, focusing on diverse market needs and preferences.
  • Develop research plans, design studies, and execute research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, tailored to understand global market trends.
  • Build user journeys and personas with a global perspective.
  • Work in tandem with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to translate research insights into product requirements and design recommendations.
  • Analyse and synthesise research findings and present insights to stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of market trends and user needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date with best practices in UX research, with a special focus on global market trends and esports.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, anthropology, design, or similar disciplines. This diverse educational requirement is designed to encompass a broad range of expertise beneficial to UX research.
  • At least 1 year of experience in UX research, with a strong preference for experience in the sports, betting, or esports industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of various research methods and tools, with the ability to plan, execute, and analyse research studies independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present research findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal - additional languages are definitely a plus, considering the global scope of the role.
