About the role:


As the Head of SMB Collections, you are responsible for day to day operations of collections operations and portfolio performance of the Enova SMB portfolio.  This includes early stage collections, late stage collections, recoveries, and support activities.  You will operate the SMB Collections function with the support members of other teams at Enova including: Strategy and Operations (S&O), Business Intelligence, Analytics, Finance, Product Management, and others.This role requires deep knowledge and understanding of best practices in collections operations, collections strategy, the recovery industry, and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements of the collections and recoveries industry.  The ability to operate in this environment while complying with all internal policies, laws, and regulatory guidelines is critical to success in this role.  This role also requires demonstrated ability to manage a large team (30+) in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all SMB Collections operations
  • Formulate and implement necessary KPI’s to measure, maintain, and improve collections portfolio performance and day to day operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and delivery on tactics to improve collections results
  • Manage a debt recovery group for Enova’s small business portfolio achieving the desired financial and performance targets
  • Maintain relationships with and oversee management of in-house and third party recovery teams
  • Maintain existing and create new collections and recovery tactics
  • Recruit and retain world class talent
  • Develop processes to simplify day to day operations of the collection department
  • Review, analyze and present the performance of collections activities to management and executive teams

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance or a related field
  • 10+ or more years of leadership experience at in collections operations
  • Advanced working knowledge of best-in-class collections and recovery procedures and related regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and support decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategic plans that drive desired financial outcomes
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement.

For Colorado-based candidates, the budgeted range is $130,000-$160,000 but actual compensation may vary based on experience including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
