Role description
As a Back-End Developer at Dashmote, you will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our new generation DaaS (Data as a Service) platform. Joining our dynamic engineering team, comprising data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and data analysts from global locations such as Amsterdam and Shanghai (or working remotely), you will be vital in constructing and maintaining the back-end infrastructure of our cutting-edge solutions.
Main responsibilities
Develop and maintain the back-end infrastructure for DaaS applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and security
Design, build, and maintain APIs and other back-end services to ensure smooth data integration and functionality
Manage and optimize relational databases, and work with Firebase/Google Cloud platforms when needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Your background
- Students in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Fluent in English
- Proven experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on Python. Knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks such as Express.js is a plus
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud is a plus
- Proficiency in building and using REST APIs. Familiarity with other back-end technologies and practices
- Strong coding practices, familiar with test-driven development
- Experience with SQLAlchemy, Express.js, PostgreSQL, relational databases, and No-SQL databases is a plus
- Full-time or nearly full-time availability
