Your Impact at CNIB
- Act as an internal point of contact for contract and risk management matters.
- Manage internal legal support requests and triage to vetted legal counsel.
- Streamline processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
- Lead special projects supporting Enterprise Risk Management.
- Support the day-to-day oversight of insurance matters.
- Support privacy incident investigations and remediation efforts.
- Manage and support projects across a range of subjects within the Governance and Compliance team.
Requirements
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
- University graduate in law or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and expertise.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in business administration, privacy compliance, risk management, or another related field.
- Ability to plan, manage and evaluate multiple complex initiatives and/or projects, typically involving input from internal and external contracts.
- You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs and must be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans.
- Attention to detail; comfortable working under deadlines and multitasking to deliver key deliverables.
- Working knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts, methods, and systems.
- Working knowledge of the Canadian legal system, legal concepts, and specific legislation and regulations driving organizational compliance needs.
- Ability to conduct legal and policy research and related analysis, and communicate findings in clear, non-technical language.
- 3rd risk management evaluation.
- Change management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills and competence with standard computer tools associated with business, marketing, and project management.
- Exceptional organizational and execution skills.
- Flexible mindset, and comfort with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
- Ability to speak French is an asset.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
