The Role


The Laboratory team is looking for a highly motivated Medical Laboratory Technician who will under the general supervision of the Laboratory General and Technical Supervisor, perform moderate complexity routine tests in a clinical laboratory to provide data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, ensuring validity and accuracy of test results in a fast-paced environment.This role reports directly to the General & Technical Laboratory Supervisor and will work closely with laboratory staff, clinicians, and research scientists.

What You'll Do:


  • Perform aspects of laboratory testing, including method validation and verification, instrument performance, and test result review to ensure consistent high-quality lab production that meets company-level SLAs (e.g., samples/day).
  • Responsible for escalation of results that require additional interpretation to the laboratory supervisor 
  • Ensure that patient test results are not reported in the LIS until all corrective actions have been taken
  • Set up, maintain, calibrate, quality control,  troubleshoot, clean, and test the function of laboratory equipment
  • Prepare solutions, reagents, calibrators, quality control, and verification materials
  • Contributes to continuous improvement processes that improve patient experience, drive quality and safety initiatives, and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

What You'll Bring to the Team:


  • Valid and current CDPH MLT license
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a detail-oriented environment.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems and data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • At least 1-2 years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing for the specialty of chemistry 
  • One of the following requirements must be met at a minimum:Associate degree or 60 semester or equivalent quarter units in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science with specific course requirements:
  • 36 semester or equivalent quarter units in physical or biological sciences
  • 6 semester or equivalent quarter units in chemistry
  • 6 semester or equivalent quarter units in biology
  • If you served in the U.S. Air Force, the college work will be posted on a Community College of the Air Force transcript. If you served in other branches of the U.S. armed forces, the college work will be posted on a transcript from an approved military college.

The target base salary for this position ranges from $76,500 to $90,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
