Better Collective is an

About the role
We work in big cross-functional, multinational teams per product. Each team has dedicated Frontend devs, Backend devs, DevOps, QA, PO. We work in Scrum (1 or 2-week sprints). Each sprint contains meetings for task refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective and daily organisation, regular cross-team meetings such as "Backend developers meeting" and "Frontend developers meeting" where we talk about our challenges and set goals.

Backend: PHP, Node.js
Storages: MYSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch and Redis
Frontend: HTML, CSS, Next.js
TDD/BDD, CI/CD (Github, Codeship, AWS)
JIRA for project management
Your main responsibilities are
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and JavaScript with attention to high level performance.
Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to create scalable and robust written, clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing systems.
Mentor junior developers and participate in team meetings.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- 4+ years of professional experience in PHP/JavaScript development.
Knowledge of database types is desirable.
Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Understanding of design patterns and good principles of programming.
Knowledge of different architectural concepts will be advantageous.
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
Attention to detail.
