We have scaled to 35,000+ clients and, even after 10 years, are still just getting started.Position Overview:The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our business-critical infrastructure hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
You will collaborate with Software Development, IT Services, and other business stakeholders to develop and execute infrastructure strategies to support current and future business goals. Measures of success for this role include designing and implementing our company infrastructure strategy, timely delivery of technical solutions, meeting or exceeding infrastructure SLAs, and the ability to consistently meet department performance metrics.Responsibilities:
- Serve as the team's Azure subject matter expert; building and managing our Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure components that support our SaaS product offering and prioritized technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with other members of the technology department to ensure application and infrastructure performance metrics are consistently met.
- Create technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, specifications, configuration, and processes.
- Ensure zero client data is lost due to incorrectly managed infrastructure components or security incidents.
- Apply formal change management procedures to implement and document ongoing infrastructure changes.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience building and managing modern cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure architecture and core services such as Virtual Machines, Group Policy, MFA, Azure Active Directory, Management Groups, Resource Groups, Azure Regions, Azure Functions, Azure Networking, Azure IPsec Connections, Network Security Groups, Azure VDI, and Firewalls.
- Experience using key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), metrics, and analytics to monitor, measure, and improve infrastructure performance.
- Experience with Azure hosted MySQL and MSSQL databases.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Virtual Machine and database backups.
- Experience with identity and access management.
- Experience using infrastructure as code frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Experience in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Azure CLI, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- Successful completion of Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience managing and negotiating Azure pricing, subscriptions, and reservations.
- Experience developing and executing disaster recovery plans.
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms such as UiPath and Fortra.
Location and Hours:This is a full-time remote position. Our standard operating hours are 9 AM to 6 PM EST.Note: This position is not open to California, Colorado, Montana, or New York residents.
