The Technical Business Analyst will spearhead the companies Mobile Apps initiatives, working closely with stakeholders, outside vendors, and an internal security team.  Your role will be pivotal in aligning development activities to meet the company’s objectives and broader business goals. You will get to be involved in some exciting and world class projects while being a part of a close-knit team that is responsible for Woodstream’s digital transformation. This role is located in Lancaster, PA - Hybrid, onsite presence required

Overview of the Role:


Technical Business Analyst is an integral part of Woodstream’s Commercial IT team, playing a key role in planning and managing a portfolio of commercial apps that drive audience engagement and/or business solutions for our customers, including mobile applications, websites, digital sales tools, and emerging technologies.The Technical Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between the business stakeholders and technical development team, ensuring that IT solutions effectively address business needs and goals.  is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of technology projects that are in line with Woodstream’s business goals.

This person is responsible for the execution of our commercial technology strategy and roadmap, while supporting existing processes and applications.  This role will also be responsible for working closely with our security team to ensure we follow best practices and are conducting regular security scans and audits on our technology platforms.

Specific Responsibilities:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Thorough understanding of software development.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of tasks. Responsible for meeting project deadlines as determined jointly by stakeholders.
  • Planning and managing commercial application development stages to ensure on budget and timely delivery.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills with the ability to discern what technical needs are related to an end user request.
  • Strong business and technical awareness
  • Work with different third-party vendors for execution of technology projects.  This may require holding meetings that are outside of normal US business hours. 
  • Report on project progress in a timely manner that is measurable, working with the project team to develop a high-level phase or milestone schedule.  
  • Ensuring QA and validation of the software solutions, addressing any issues, and ensuring successful deployment.
  • Be positive and a force for good in the team – even when faced with difficult problems.
  • Work with the business sponsors to develop technical and functional requirements for each application project. This includes the creation of user stories and test cases to confirm the definition of the customer’s journey. These will be used during the user acceptance testing and to confirm the definition of each use.
  • Assuring project specifications are defined and documented by working closely with the appropriate internal teams and conducting unit testing to ensure those specifications are met.
  • Overseeing product deployment and integration.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to a technology project.  This includes b2c, b2b, website, apps and all other digital platforms as assigned.
  • Track project issues, and the resolution of those issues and obstacles, to ensure that each are addressed and allow project progress to continue.
  • Documenting processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Scope management and change order creation and approvals.
  • Keeping up with advancements in product technologies.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Successful Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in digital development and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of digital best practices including experience with web design/UX.
  • Strong knowledge of penetration testing, security scans and audits.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, CMS, API Integrations, Python, JavaScript and mobile apps
  • Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Experience in using project management tools such as Microsoft Office, budget/time tracking tools and issue tracking software.
  • Experience in project management models including Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
  • High functioning, positive team player that can facilitate many cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical product development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
