LOCATION:


The Data & Operations Strategist position is a flexible hybrid position and requires candidate to sit in the TikTok San Jose, CA or TikTok New York, NY office two times a week. Candidates who live in the following cities will be considered: San Jose, CA surrounding areas OR New York, New York surrounding areas. Travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.


THE ROLE: 


The Data & Operations Strategist will sit within the Client Services team, supporting our global B2B client, TikTok for Business. The Data & Operations Strategist this person will be the key architect of our affiliate program expansion. This role requires a blend of strategic foresight, analytical stills, and operational planning to drive sustainable growth. Job function will be 60% reporting & analytics focused and 40% tactical program operations. This role will utilize strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze complex data sets along with spot trends, flag anomalies and make strategic recommendations based on data.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary with a love of data and a knack for taking large data sets and analyzing it showcasing how data can be leveraged to tell a story. The candidate should have experience building strategies backed by data and be comfortable presenting in a group setting to internal stakeholders and to clients at varying levels. The candidate should possess superior organization and prioritization skills to curate efficient processes within the program operations and reporting deliverables.  

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • REPORTING & STRATEGIC ANALYSIS – Owns routine weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables for client. Manages and prioritizes incoming complex data analysis requests from the client team autonomously. Strategically and effectively completes data analysis projects such as using data to prove the value of the channel, creating projections and forecasts, telling a story with data, conducting incrementality analysis, commission modeling and more. Pinpoints and proactively flags anomalies within the data that may impact program or partner performance. Proactively identifies and share ways to increase data efficiencies and improve data analysis. Reviews and leverages data and thinks creatively to pull together monthly strategic recommendations and takeaways for the client. Proactively runs tests and analysis inclusive of elasticity testing, coupon pre-post analysis, and media purchasing analysis. 
  • BENCHMARKING, INSIGHTS & TRENDS – Utilizes vast array of client and network data to strategically and proactively analyze trends and benchmarking for client program, creating reports and identifying insights to be shared with clients and prospects. Provides objective, thorough, data-driven recommendations with clear and actionable insights to client. Incorporates industry insights and benchmarks within reporting that are relevant to the client and support the story the data is telling. Supports client team with recaps which include strategic recommendations, key learnings, and trends based on data. Builds out metric, benchmark, and tracking strategies to inform decisions around publisher, coupon and program performance. Creates client facing deliverables showcasing trends and highlighting actionable key learnings while elevating Acceleration Partners as a continued thought leader.  
  • CLIENT & INTERNAL COMMUNICATION – Clearly communicates and summarizes program and campaign performance, along with data learnings to internal stakeholders through various means including email/Lark recaps, PowerPoint presentations, 1-pagers and various trackers. In addition, supporting account teams on client calls and during quarterly or annual presentations. Showcases the ability to leverage large data sets to pull out key learnings and recommendations that can be presented in a concise and action-oriented format. Confidently presents data findings to client and internal teams in a formal setting or presentation that is clear and concise and easy for all stakeholders to understand.  
  • PROGRAM OPERATIONS – Project manages multiple campaigns operationally, maintaining appropriate and balanced focus on each. Displays consistent organizational skills and the ability to focus on and prioritize tasks based on client objectives. Organizes tasks by priority, creates efficient workflow, simplifying complex processes. Supports client team proactively and exhibits Excel & Improve mentality to provide supportive feedback and ideas for process & training improvement. Has excellent understanding of key risks to AP and client and proactively raises areas of concern. Operational support will be 40% of the role, such as tracker management, partner tagging, fraud monitoring, call recaps and more. 
  • LEAD, MANGE, & HOLD ACCOUNTABLE – Follows the AP Way of Client Service Methodology, taking a team-oriented and solutions-oriented approach by collaborating with peers, brainstorming process improvements, and calmly handling complex matters. Is able to accept 360° feedback from all sources, including peers, clients, and partners and is eager to learn from both successes and failures. Lead by influence through developing relationships and effectively communicating with clients and internal stakeholders across all departments and levels. Support internal team members with guidance and training around data analysis.  

  • WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: 


    BY 1 MONTHS…

    The Data & Operations Strategist will have a solid understanding of the important KPIs for the client and will have started supporting various requests across the client teams as it relates to complex data analysis. This person can quickly make connections between data points to help identify cause/effect on performance and share actionable insights and recommended next steps with the team in support of making strategic recommendations to support client growth, satisfaction and innovation. The Data & Operations Strategist will be independently executing day-to-day project management across their areas of responsibility, curating efficiencies, and is comfortable owning more complex ad hoc reporting deliverables with the outcome of increased thought leadership being shared with client.  

    BY 3 MONTHS…

    The Data & Operations Strategist will be meeting expectations in their Top 5’s with minimal guidance needed from their manager. This person is a vital part of the client team providing strategic analysis, big picture thinking tied to data, and providing thought leadership as it relates to data. This person is consistently supporting client by owning incoming support requests, including forecasting, and leveraging insights and benchmarks for storytelling with the outcome of increased efficiency, smarter decision making based on data and increased growth for our client. This person can and is curating global commission modeling for client program, and identifying areas to drive efficient global growth based on numbers. The Data & Operations Strategist is consistently and proactively utilizing strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze large complex data sets with the outcome of providing clear, concise, strategic, deliverables for the client. The Data & Operations Strategist is consistently project managing and owning their key responsibilities within program operations, supporting the team, and creating ways to improve operational outputs beyond status quo. This person has become an integrated member of the TikTok for Business ecosystem, both at Acceleration Partners and internally with global client contacts, seen as a trusted strategist, and owning their role being 60% reporting & analytics focused and 40% tactical program operations autonomously.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 


    • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, market analysis, sales operation strategy or a similar field, with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective growth strategies.  
    • Experience in performance channel marketing or B2B affiliate marketing consulting experience preferred 
    • Proven experience in data collection & analysis from multiple sources 
    • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, PPT) 
    • Onsite requirement of 2 days per week. There could be weeks with no office time, but could be weeks with showing daily for team planning offsites.  
    • Superior communication and organization skills 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and/or Lark experience a plus
    • Experience building PowerPoint decks and leading presentations to clients and internal stakeholders 
    • Familiarity with Affiliate Networks and SaaS platforms (ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Impact, etc.) a plus 
    • Ability to travel when needed to conferences and meetings 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Finance or a related field. Advanced degrees (Masters) are highly valued; or relevant work experience required in marketing analytics, consulting, and/or digital marketing strategy
