Position Description
Under direct supervision of the Controller, this position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities including, but not limited to accounts receivable, billing, and financial reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with the annual audit and tax filings
- Prepare financial statements and footnotes for the annual audit
- Perform various accounting reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable-related activities, including performing data entry, maintaining accounting records, and creating auditable supporting documents
- Assist the Controller in establishing SOX controls and documentation
- Month-end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, bank, and credit card accounts
- Experience with the consolidation process and intercompany transactions
- Draft technical accounting memos and perform research on new accounting principles
- Support accounting during the month-end process by preparing and entering journal entries and preparing backup documentation for standard journal entries
- Produce and distribute routine financial reports as assigned
- Continuously automate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
Requirements
- BS/BA in Accounting/Finance or another business-related field
- At least three to five years performing duties as an accountant
- Public Accounting Experience required (big 4 preferred)
- CPA preferred or CPA eligible
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and other related software.
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience in Real Estate/FinTech industry
- Detail-oriented, efficient and organized
- Strong mathematical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well thought out decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly trustworthy, discreet, and ethical
- Maintain positive attitude and approach to communication and problem-solving

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and geographic location. Range: $80,000 - $110,000
