Founded in 1901, Feesers, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feesers provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of class A and B vehicles.

Your primary responsibilities will include repairing truck and trailer lights, brake systems, conducting minor vehicle diagnostics, and addressing any maintenance needs, both inside and outside of truck boxes and trailers. You will also be responsible for performing Class 7 state inspections and conducting road tests on our vehicles.Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A FLEET MECHANIC

  • Repair truck and trailer lights
  • Brake systems
  • Minor vehicle diagnostics
  • Repair anything in the inside or outside of a truck box or trailer
  • Make the proper repairs
  • Shop the vehicle when dealing with DVIR
  • Responsible for state inspections all vehicles
  • Road testing fleet of class A and B vehicles
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A FLEET MECHANIC


  • Computer diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with heavy duty truck and trailer tires.
  • Welding knowledge
  • Familiar with the structure of a trailer/wiring

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE FOR A FLEET MECHANIC


  • 1 year of experience required.
  • Have experience or hold certificates for the ABS brake system
  • CDL Class A required
  • Class 7 State Inspection License required
  • Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
