Links Global based in Rockville, MD is recruiting for a part-time media and public relations specialist to support a variety of client communication needs. One project in particular is to support a client with building an alumni engagement program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate working groups and advisory groups
- Conduct interviews of field experts to support plan development
- Conduct public relations
- Write and edit strategy, communication plans, media releases, articles, and other information
- Coordinate activities and events
- Provide training
- Develop information materials
- Develop digital media and social media for marketing and promotion purposes
- Manage several staff
Required qualifications
- B.S. in communication or related field
- 10+ years of experience working relevant duties
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent group facilitation skills
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Experience in developing communication materials
- Organized and able to use a variety of business software such as MS Office
- Self-motivated and also team player abilities
- Ability to pass government suitability background check
