Role Summary
EcoMap is looking for committed and driven individuals who can contribute to a rapidly growing Technology SaaS company. You will be working directly with the company COO and Director of People Operations. This is an opportunity to establish best accounting and finance practices and position the company for continued growth. We are looking for an individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done by establishing best-in-class frameworks and practices. This is a key position to achieve the company’s aggressive three (3) year growth plans.
The environment is collaborative and highly dynamic.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Invoicing and revenue booking, QuickBooks (QB) management, and bank reconciliation. Close the books each month. Manage state sales tax compliance. Run payroll.
- Modeling and Analysis: Regular updating of the financial model and financial analysis
- Reporting and Communication: Metric tracking, investor updates, and reports, monthly financial reporting to internal stakeholders, board meeting preparation, sending bi-monthly Individual Retirement Account (IRA) reports, and cap table management
- Accounts and Expenses: Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) and review and manage company expenses, including collaborating on internal budgets.
- Strategic Contributions: Assist with fundraising efforts. Deliver quarterly all-hands financial presentations. Establish and refine internal processes and procedures for accounting and finance during rapid company growth. Take ownership to drive select initiatives across the organization.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Strong preference for someone with previous startup experience, especially $2M-$5M revenue companies
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, as well as the ability to forecast and manage cash collaboratively with the executive team
- Knowledge and experience with SaaS Valuation and growth metrics
- Solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills.
- Hands on knowledge and experience with QB and payroll processing. Prefer experience with Gusto integration.
